Our comprehensive tune-up covers everything needed to keep your system safe, efficient, and reliable through the season. We document every step and provide a written service report after every visit.

When Should I Schedule?
Heating systems (furnaces, boilers): Late August through October — before the heating season rush and before weather turns cold.
Cooling systems and heat pumps: April–May before summer heat, and September–October before switching to heating mode.
Book early — our fall schedule fills up fast starting in August.

How often should I have my HVAC system maintained in Maine?
We recommend at minimum one annual tune-up for heating systems — ideally in late summer or early fall before heating season begins. For heat pumps that provide both heating and cooling, a bi-annual service (spring and fall) keeps both modes running at peak efficiency. Boilers and furnaces should be serviced every year without exception.
What does a furnace or boiler tune-up include?
Our standard heating tune-up includes: burner cleaning and adjustment, heat exchanger inspection, ignition system test, flue and venting check, filter replacement, thermostat calibration, electrical connection inspection, and a full system safety test. We document everything and give you a written report.
How does maintenance relate to my warranty?
Maintenance and documentation requirements vary by manufacturer and product. Review your written warranty terms and keep service records that may be relevant to a future claim.
Can maintenance really prevent breakdowns?
Yes, significantly. Most HVAC failures are caused by issues that build up over time — dirty burners, worn capacitors, low refrigerant, blocked filters. Annual tune-ups catch these before they turn into emergency failures on the coldest night of the year.
Do you offer maintenance plans for heat pumps?
Yes. Heat pumps benefit greatly from bi-annual service — coil cleaning in spring and fall, refrigerant charge check, defrost cycle test, and electrical inspection. Our bi-annual plan covers both visits at a preferred rate.
